well i always think a girl with good taste in music is better than a metal/hiphop/whatever chick...yeah gothic clothing and make up do look good on some but i really love other pieces of clothing on girls too.

and like i said about music...i wouldnt want ANYONE to limit themselves to one genre of music while there is so much to explore...especially in a field like music.

i think its just sad that so many male metalheads have chosen to rag on chicks in the scene. there are many ladies around who love the music and know their shit; there's no reason to discount the contribution of an entire gender just because there's a few too many "goth-looking chicks" for your taste. saying "all metuhl chicks are teh sux0r!! fukken stoopid whores, bitches can't be tr00 rofl!!!11!1" just makes you sound like a dickless misogynist fuck. good luck getting laid anytime soon...these claims against women ring especially hollow when you consider how many slipknot-loving, hot-topic-shopping, middle-class, wannabe-goth MALES there are, jeeezus fucking christ.

im not a "metalhead". its outside perspective in my case. Ive met many, many "metal" chicks. They were either tramps, druggies, sluts, hideously ugly, ignorant, or doing it for the "fashion" of it. Ive met 2 girls who were into the music, but they were worst elitests (liking only grind and german thrash), than most the elitest guys are...so i dont count them either.

well my comment wasn't directed at you specifically, but it's a common perspective in the metal community that women can't be true metal fans. it's true that there are a lot of "hanger-on" type women around, but then i've met MANY more male than female "posers"...i don't really think that physical appearance plays into it either, but if we're on the topic it strikes me that most metal guys aren't exactly brad pitt themselves, maybe some of the ladies here can attest to that...
 
Speaking of metal girls, I like the looks of Floor Jansen. She's not a model, but with such a divine voice I wouldn't ask for more.
