This. We just need someone to quote Shane's post about Opeth and we can end all the "this isn't the Opeth I want it to be" bullcrap. One of the things I most admire about Mikael is how he could give a rat's ass what people "expect" from him, he makes the music he loves, and given he and his bandmates are so retardedly talented there will always be people loving it. Plus, his whole career he has constantly repeated how he hates predictable music and always wants to make it interesting by making it unpredictable. Want growls? Surprise! Maybe he'll come back to them next album, maybe not.
