Ok. Point taken. I'll listen to soldier of fortune again (maybe already this evening) and try to be a bit more precise. Maybe, if I listen to it more closely, I don't find it that boring anymore. ;)

Did my homework, listened to "soldier of fortune" again. Here's my more detailed explanation.

The good news is, the song is actually quite nice and well delivered. A humble, mellow, melancholic song. All of this is ok to me. Nevertheless, I find it a bit boring because there's just not much happening. The drum is slumbering away without much variation, keyboard delivers some harmonies, guitar is picking lazily in the background. A little sad solo in the middle. It's just not building up much tension anywhere. At least not in my ear.
