Ok. Point taken. I'll listen to soldier of fortune again (maybe already this evening) and try to be a bit more precise. Maybe, if I listen to it more closely, I don't find it that boring anymore.

Did my homework, listened to "soldier of fortune" again. Here's my more detailed explanation.

The good news is, the song is actually quite nice and well delivered. A humble, mellow, melancholic song. All of this is ok to me. Nevertheless, I find it a bit boring because there's just not much happening. The drum is slumbering away without much variation, keyboard delivers some harmonies, guitar is picking lazily in the background. A little sad solo in the middle. It's just not building up much tension anywhere. At least not in my ear.
