Yeah, personally I think I'd rather get another Korean model and just get the Mercury Magnetics "Holy Terror" transformer set, especially because MM offers a 100% money-back guarantee if you aren't satisfied! (hello re-amping shootout! ) And thanks for the props on the clip guys, I know I post it a lot but dammit I'm proud!

It would be cool to hear that, but honestly...the amp sounds great on it's own. I'm sure the tranny upgrade sounds better, but I'm a bit skpetical as to how much that is.

Marcus, that clip is not at all helpful. I love that fucking tone! It has something organic and complex in the mids, if that makes sense, that I haven't heard in any other amp. I think that and GoddamnGuitar's Savage 120 clips may be the best I've heard on this forum. There's one on Craigslist in Philly going for somewhere around $500 but I just have to block it out. I just sold my 5150 combo but should probably spend that money on food, rent, and brake pads. Fuck.

Errr don't they go for around that much new? Or did they jack the prices up? I forget where, but some online store had them for $480 last time I checked.

I just found one for $400. Having been homeless twice in my life I'm gonna have to go with rent. Awesome gear with no place to plug it in sucks and I wouldn't be able to fit all of it in my refrigerator box! I really do need to get my priorities straight. Being semi responsible blows...
