We had some really nasty storms roll by yesterday morning. Thankfully, the power didn't go out. My aunt, on the other hand, still doesn't have power. It's a good thing it got cooler here.

how is it now for her?

still a good portion of the city, including my house, is now over 73 hours without power... earlier today we had to go clean out the fridge/freezer, and the whole bi-state st. louis area was under a boil order with our water as well, since lightning struck a main filter/pumping facility with storm #2 yesterday and there was a big fire, water pressure was down and barely running for awhile

i'm pretty fortunate since my grandmother lives 5 miles away and has been quite lucky with her power staying on, though it was off for 5 hours yesterday after the second storm (which also cooled the area off thankfully, it was actually pretty cold last night), and was off for about 2 hours later that night

unfortunately, there just must be someone out there right now with no power, and no water to drink safely
