Someone wanna explain to me how exercising is supposed to raise your energy level and make you feel better?
Your body likes to conserve energy, so it only produces as much as it thinks you're going to use, based on how much you've required in the past. If you suddenly start a new exercise program, your regular energy stores won't be enough to support the extra activity initially, but the longer you stick with it, the more your body recognizes that it needs to increase it's reserves, so over time, you will have more energy. Make sure that you have a good well-balanced diet, including a healthy breakfast, to give your body the raw materials to produce the energy with.

Oh, and on another note, if you're ever in Chicago and want to feel poor, just drive through the North Shore suburbs. I had to take my husband to work this morning, and that meant I had to drive through suburbs like Highland Park and Lake Forest to get to my work. Nothing like passing by gigantic estates and Porsche, Jaguar, and Ferrari dealers.

Sounds like the West Hills in Portland. When I worked in Beaverton, I would find alternate routes home and one of those that I liked taking the most went through the West Hills. If I did not see a Ferrari or a Lamborghini on a nice day, I felt cheated.

Since getting my new route where I get home every night except on Tuesdays, I've cut out microwaveable dinners from my diet, fast food, and soda too. For breakfast, changed from a huge bowl of Lucky Charms or Cheerios with tons of sugar, to scrambled eggs and ham, sometimes green onions and english muffins with orange juice. I've noticed I feel better and healthier. Going to try and exorcise more too.

I also wish I could find some Howie Mandell standup shows on DVD. You may not be able to tell it from Deal or No Deal, but he is a hilarious comedian.

My favorite movie in sixth grade was Little Monsters. I watched it every night for months. The sick thing was, my dad kept renting it for me! He'd bring back all the movies and then let me get Little Monsters again when he checked out his new stuff. It was a little mom-and-pop video store and I'm pretty sure the guy wasn't charging for it all the time. He always laughed when I put it back up on the counter. To this day, I have no idea why my dad didn't just buy it for me.

The point of the story is that I have a nostalgic attachment to Howie Mandel that I've never been able to explain. Got any ideas, Doctor? :goggly:

What the doc said.

Once you get into the training routine (2 weeks to 2 months) your body will recover faster. And by the way if you don´t feel at least a bit tired after training you aren´t doing it hard enough! Taht is the reason why a lot of people give up during the first month. I´m trying to rebuild the same stamina I had before I went to Norway but I feel it will take at least another month.

I have a fun two days planned. I have to be on the committee floor at 11 and then afterwards I have to head out with the big boss for town hall meetings in Detroit, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Traverse City, and Ionia. Hatred is going on tour.....minus the sex, drugs, and rock and roll:erk: Saturday cannot come soon enough:(

I'll probably work about 6 hours on Saturday. Make Friday a short day, as in done by 10am day. Don't know when on Friday the Monday trailer for Salem will be done. So, instead of fighting traffic, especially Friday afternoon traffic in Portland and Seattle. Take the afternoon off, drive up on Saturday when I feel like it.
