Dag nabbit, I just lost an auction on ebay for 6 Zeppelin LPs (1-3, Houses of the Holy, Presence, and Coda). Oh well, I still have the high bid for a Physical Graffiti LP. My husband decided that he wants to get all of them on vinyl recently.

In my vinyl collection I have:

Zep's 1, 2, 3, 4, Houses of the Holy, The Song Remains the Same, Physical Graffiti, Presence and In Through the Out Door. 3 came with a bonus single for the Immigrant Song with Hey, Hey What Can I Do? as the b-side. :Smokin:

I had the re-mastered Physical Graffiti on CD

you probably wouldn't want to know. oh, just watched the departed, speaking of rats and all.

No kidding. I just finished watching it, too, not even ten minutes ago. Happy ending, don't you think? A really uplifting movie.

oh yeah, very happy ending. good movie though. time for bed...should be able to sleep, little over 4 hours sleep since thursday morning at 415am.

I was going to make it a family night and bring the kids but after the shitty week we've had, I then decided to ditch the kids at Grandma's house, eat dinner at a bar (I might even have a drink, too!) and go to the game with other adults instead. My best friend is moving to Michigan and we haven't gotten together in a really long time and her house is supposed to close on 3/9. And her husband is a big hockey nerd, too.

Is The Departed worth buying? I usually hate buying movies I haven't seen yet, but I hate Blockbuster even more. Or should I just do the PPV thing?

it's a long movie, but the actors in it are great. I bought it.

I usually buy movies, even if I haven't seen them before. It's cheaper to buy a movie on DVD and watch it on the home theater, than for me and my wife to go (not even counting babysitting costs).

I like going to the theater. some movies are better in the theater

Summer action flicks, yes, most others, not a big difference

yeah, that is true. lord of the rings was better in the theater. seeing the balrog on the big screen...yeah, worth it.

But romantic comedies and movies like Borat? Do you really need to see it on a 40-foot screen?

nah, but if you're going to a romantic comedy in the theater, you should be going there with someone, and that in itself could be good for the situation.

Not if you're already married...in a theater full of people, you're worried about how the kids are doing with the babysitter, never mind thetheaterfull of people around you. If you're at home with your wife, once the kids are down, it doesn't matter what movie is on any more...shit,my wifand I have made out to Naked Gun 33-1/3 numerous times...you might as well call it a romantic comedy
