Been in a rotten mood the last 24 hours. I'm starting to look for a bigger house than what we're in right now, and the realization hit me that before we could even think of putting our place on the market, we'd have to do enough shit to the house (new carpets, paint, replace worn-out appliances) that I'd need to first spend about $10,000 on this place. Plus, the wife is delusional by thinking a two-bedroom house is big enough for five people (my son sleeps in what used to be my office - upstairs room with no door).

I'm not feeling very positive today.

Don't you just love the housing market here? There's a reason why we live at least 20 miles from both of our jobs in a condo right now. Stupid inflated property values.

It's good to know that i am not the only one with that type of problem. 4 years ago we made a bad deal with my-inlaws, well i am in escrow and stressing over everything. I will be F-ing broke after this..... wait i already am......oh and my wife don't even get me started....... AUHGGGGGGGGG!!! And to top it off i am supposed to have surgury for a minor hernia at the end of May. How is one to move after that? 6 weeks before i can lift anything heavy. I would rather move and make it a major hernia than have them go in a second time....... Double Aughhhh!!!!!!!

Good luck on the hernia surgery:ill: That's something that I will almost definitely have done in the future. My dad has had something like 8 or 9(not sure on the actual count) hernia surgeries done now-ouch! My dad has enough mesh in his stomach that he could easily repair a screen door with it:lol: You would almost be best to get it done after moving because once you have it done, you are pretty much out of commission on moving anything heavy-even after 6 weeks.

The Doc said, Your sac will look like and Eggplant after the surgury... Nice..... I can't wait..... I will post pics...... LOL!!!!!:Puke: :zombie:   :hypno: :zombie:

Everyone is selling their houses in Michigan because of how shitty our job market is. So I imagine that buying a house here would be fairly inexpensive at this time. I haven't really checked any of them out on the account that I don't need to buy a new bigger house because I live by myself and don't have to worry about family things like most of the people here.

Housing prices are ridiculous here. Average prices have gone up almost 50% in the past year.

Say that again.

It's 1:20 here, and it's hard to get motivated knowing my husband is a few miles up the road chaperoning a field trip to Six Flags. It's for "Physics Day"...or, as he put it, "the field trip where the kids do all the work while I get to ride rollercoasters all day." I need to be a teacher. If it weren't for all the students you have to deal with...

What really bums me out about this, Rem, is that I found a nice 4-bed, 2 full bath house just north of Grand off 131 (not too far from your lab, I believe) that is an absolute beauty (at least on paper). Wood deck and gazebo in the back, and each of the kids could have their own room again! Dammit, dammit, dammit!!!

Instead, I have to figure out how the fuck I'm gonna improve our 2-bed, 1-1/2 bath townhouse on one income (wife is still looking... again...). And did I say "dammit, dammit, dammit" yet?

Where the fuck is Ty Pennington and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" when I need them?
