Good morning everybody!
What a day I've been having so far. Our IT guy is out for the week, and so I'm having to field all his calls. I was asked to look at a printer and a computer that weren't working. In both instances it involved a highly technical process of moving the power switch from off to on.

At some places a simple thing like that has to be done by a licensed technician because of support deals.

THERE was no such thing as a nerd back in 1947, when Erich Klein opened a small factory on Chicago's North Side and became one of the first manufacturers to make plastic pocket protectors.

''It slipped into a shirt pocket and was useful to anyone who carried a fountain pen or a ballpoint pen, which had ink leakage problems,'' said Randy Silton, Mr. Klein's grandson and president of the company, Erell Manufacturing. ''We still make hundreds of thousands a year, but most others have dropped them from their lines. I guess pocket protectors aren't so popular anymore.''

On a completely unrelated note, my Dad kept referring to Panera Bread as "Pantera Bread" all weekend. He was so excited that a Pantera Bread opened near his place. Maybe that what Anselmo has been doing lately...selling bagels and soup in bread bowls.

Anyone else finding that UM has been extra-slow lately?

I find it slower in the afternoon for some reason. Let's just hope the servers don't crash and they lose everything.

I'm debating whether I should pick up the new Ozzy or not. I've only heard 2 songs off the album, and they're your general Zak-era Ozzy songs. Nothing too spectacular.
