Antonio is going to be one of those prima donna soccer players. He refuses to practice, but as soon as we start the game, then he plays, and scored 5 or 6 goals last night. Mind you, not all were on the right net.

I may or may not have scored an "own goal" while I was keeper in high school.

It´s amazing to see a bunch of 5-6 year olds play soccer. You notice who´s good control, game-flow and good kicks. And some don´t develop into good players until their mid 20´s.

This is the under-5 team. Clumps of kids running after a ball, occassionally losing one or two from the clump that get distracted by a butterfly or run off the field to get a drink of KoolAid from their mom.

My niece is good at soccer, well, she was. Her coach ended up moving her to defender because she could kick the ball most of the way across the field. So instant offense. And she was proud of the fact she's knocked 3 girls out of games.

Reminds me of someone, maybe me! Our star linebacker got hurt in football, I subbed in and knocked 2 different guys from the same game. 1 of them was my backup for baseball. His dad was one of our coaches and kept trying to get his son to start over me.
