Man, my local venue that I go to and have posted quite a few shows on here is now closed.This really sucks, that place was just starting to pull in some good bands and I really enjoyed having a place to see decent concerts so close to me

On a side note, I just walked to my coffee shop and on my way there, I saw some lady with a moustache thicker than Burt Reynoldsuke:

Lucky bastard I haven't had a 'proper" vacation in almost 5 years or more.

I wanted to go for 2 weeks, but friends we're going with could only get one, plus I'm not sure how the kids will do away from home for that long.

It was packed at the ceremony and way to stuffy for me, so I ended up leaving without meeting Kerry. Kinda cool seeing him so close.

I want a vacation now. It sucks when your spouse is a teacher. You can only take vacations when they have off. Oh well, I guess I have to wait for next June when we got to the Seattle area for a week.

On an unrelated note, Maiden kicked ass last night! Somebody forgot to tell Bruce that he's in his 50's cuz he was jumping and running all over that stage. I like the new album, so I wasn't bothered that they played the whole thing. The opening band, Bullet for my Valentine, sucked monkey balls. The crowd was cheered only after they were done and the roadies took their banner down.

What resort are you off to NFF, I was at the Riu Barchatta (sp?) in July, Fecking fantastic place. Free rum in the room was not a great idea for a boy from Glasgow though uke:

It looks pretty sweet...11 restaurants, 10 bars (24-hours all-inclusive ), Flintstones-theme area for the kids, casino, world-class golf course across the street (with a couple rounds included), 2 spas, a climbing wall, nightly live shows, and of course, the beach. I can't wait :danceboy:

If airfare wasn't so expensive, I would totally take advantage of the fact that one of my best friends lives in Oahu.

Sounds like a blast! I am very jealous. I need to start saving so I can actually take a vacation sometime. Something always seems to happen and my "vacation funds" usually get drained on something stupid, like fixing my car or paying a unexpected bill.

Sometimes you just have to put it on Visa and do it, pay the rest off afterwards instead of saving for all of it ahead of time...there's always going to be something "stupid" that you can blow your savings on before you get a chance to use them

Yeah, I know. I am pretty much a tightwad and don't spend a whole lot of my money. It just goes into my savings account and from there, I just pretend that I don't even have it. I have a good start on my 401k and also my savings is starting to be pretty decent, money wise. I just need to bite the bullet and treat myself and go away on a real vacation. I really want to go to Italy because my cousin is stationed over there while her husband is in Iraq. She said I can stay at her place for free and she loves her wine, so I would be drinking some good wines and maybe even start to like some of them.
