OT: Who gets the last word?

Hmm...journal club is in 40 minutes. Perhaps I should actually print out the paper we're discussing and actually look at it. It's a fun read "Ethanol-induced dopamine elevation in the rat - Modulatory effects by subchronic treatment with nicotinic drugz". Basically, it's about booze and smokes. Unfortunately, I'm a molecular biologist and know nothing about what they are talking about. It should be a good time.

I used to work 8-5 also. Take lunch at 1pm. Then take my first break at 4:25, get back at 4:40, work for 5 mins, then take my last break from 4:45 to go home time. That was at a call center. I was leading the account in call time and calls taken, making my boss look good, so he didn't care. Someone complained and they made a rule you couldn't take your last break in the last hour of your shift.

When I was in a department that enforced taking breaks I would take my am break at 10:30 and pm break at 3:30

I wouldn't know...I hate cheesecake. But, from what people say, it's pretty good. And expensive.

Well, then something happens to it on the way to Arizona, because it's terrible. I carry the plain and strawberry swirl by the slice in my department, and while it does sell pretty well, I don't care for it at all. There's a store brand in the bakery that is pretty damn good, in all flavors available. But the Eli's says "Chicago's Finest Cheesecake" all over the packaging, so I was wondering if it was one of those things where they want the rest of us to think that because we don't know any better.

I also just started carrying Papa Charlie's Italian Roast Beef in my freezer section. Customers were bugging the shit out of us, so I got it in. It's $4.28 and I haven't checked the sales on it yet.

I had to close last night, barely walked in the door at 12:30, didn't fall asleep til 1:30 and still had to get up at 6 to get the boy to school on time. Then I spent the morning sewing on 15 karate patches and sadly I still have 10 left, but I have to work 12-9 today so I have to get ready for work instead. And I have to get those 10 done before Saturday morning because it's picture day again.

I bet it's the way they manufacture and ship it. I know people who have had Lou Malnati's or Portillo's shipped to them have said it's not the same.
