Well thank GOD they're not at Harpo's this time, but I don't know how the I-Rock is. I've never been there.
Why must they always play is such bad areas? Its gotten to the point where I can't go see bands I like because I fear for my life.

How would you feel in my shoes?
The last THREE times Dream Theater, the last time Blind Guardian, and last TWO times Symphony X has played the Twin Cities, I've been in the Bay Area with my fiancée on trips planned and purchased before the date was announced!
Even more painful is the fact that on the last two Dream Theater and the last Blind Guardian date, I was ON THE PLANE THERE, barely missing the concert by hours.
I have no clue what the chances of all this are, but it feels like the universe is out to get me!
Thankfully we're getting married in May. I shouldn't have as many problems with concerts after that.

Tempe on August 1. I can't ever think of a time one of my favorite bands has been within 10 minutes of my living place! Anyone else coming to that show, we should meet up somewhere before. Should be one of the greatest days of my life, before finally finishing grad school .

Yeah, Sauget is basically a white-trash ghetto. It's right next to East St. Louis, which is another huge ghetto.

lol...so true...I think the I-Rock is just down the street from Harpos...so same shitty neighborhood I'm assuming. I was really hoping maybe they'd come to Grand Rapids like Iced Earth and Megadeth did in 2004...much closer for me, AND much safer areas/better venues.
i'll be going to the montreal show at the Medley...I was hopping theyd do it at tyhe bell centre but all well!

I'm just outside of oakland so only like a 40 minute drive to SF, RequiemX I will be the guy in the wheelchair front row by MJR!
Slim's is a nice place I always go there to see Blue Oyster Cult they play there once a year.
Shit between July 16 and August 5th of the tour they only get 4 days off talk about heavy touring thats so awesome!

That'd be a hike for me then.
I'd be so happy if they chose one of the similar venues in Mt. Clemens or even Royal Oak. Much better areas.
The band must be quite brave.
