Okay, many of you who know me know that I never really cared for what I heard by these guys. Well, with Rick and Savino joining Odin's Court - and being avid PoS nuts - I've been forced to give them another try. :D

I'm starting at the beginning of their catalogue and going in order. So far I've given Entropia about 10 good listens. I like it a lot. In fact, I think it could become a favorite. I do find DG's lyrics a bit over the top and/or cliché at times, and sometimes the really high singing seems out of place and irritating, but overall I really like the CD. I've give OHBTCL a few listens to. I like it too, but "Pilgrim" has got to go. :p

More on this development later...

Hey, it was ineviteable that you came to your senses

I can't wait to see what you think of The Perfect Element and Remedy Lane -- I love those albums!! I think you might enjoy his lyrics better in those works too! Before you know it, we'll have you listening to Spiral Architect as well! :loco:

See ya!

DO NOT GIVE IN TO THE EVIL & SLEEP INDUCING SPELL OF POS!

I'd rather blow broken saftey glass out of the purple headed yogurt slinger than listen
to a single Danny Goldenblow chaotic composition again. Rick is lucky I like him, This could go on forever! Nice way to get me to post on the OC forum Pierpont!
Ya Beyooootch!

Well John, I think you hit an all time high with your latest "I'd rather..." Kez would surely enjoy that one! When are you going to start that book?

However, it isn't my fault that you are unable to comprehend anything more complex than Edgay and find it too difficult to understand PoS. I think I'll go tune the Charvel and start learning some PoS just for you :p But then again, that must come as a by-product of old age! Hahahaha!

See ya dude!

Oh great! You're in here at the same time! Wow, I never saw that :Puke: smiley before -- that is awesome!

On another note, have you listened to that Manticora sample on the PP site? Is there any more of that to be found (I haven't checked yet)? Sounds likethey might have some possibility.

Don't forget to listen to 12:5, the live acoustic album!!!! I think each album is better than the previous ones.

12:5 is amazing by its own right, I like them all, but I still am waiting for Be to catch on.

BTW, what part of MD do you live in? And does your name refer to the Jackson RR1 guitar? I think you'd like my guitar :) You should come to our show with Seven Witches this coming Saturday!!!

I live in Laurel, and I AM coming to the show Seven Witches show Saturday with a couple of friends. :D (Thanks again Matt for the tickets)

Yes! I joined UM boards right after I bought my Jackson RR1 a while back. If thats a mystic dream Petrucci in your picture, then we both own the same guitars...coincidence!!! My Gear Pics

RR1 Player comes to most of our shows. He's an OC regular. ;) No prob, Andrew - thanks for the support! :)

John, I used to feel the same about PoS. They are growing on me though. Their first two albums rock. Some great guitar solos on there.

I'm on my first spin through the Perfect Element...

Oh GAWD! Here we go with that "you just don't get it" defense.......
I own, and retain OHBtCL, which is at least listenable, however, the rest of their catalog is like watching flies eat a pile of shit, it's not even enjoyable when there is NOTHING else to do. If Goldenblow farted in a jar, wrote a riff around it, spliced it up into 18 different segments and then hit
"randomize", the lemmings would run and buy it. I just don't see the appeal of this band...... You want to mess with old age? We eat what we kill up here boyeeeeeeeeeeeee! : ) Perhaps you shall be subjected to a different onion generated by-product in Sept.! :yuk:

Funny thing is, they are all great musicians, and nice enough guys, but I'll be damned if they can write a memorable song....... Don't join the Lemming side!
I have hope for you! :Spin:

OK, cool! That is excellent! Make sure you come up and introduce yourself! You are a man of impeccable taste in guitars!

And yes, it is official, we have the same guitars! My Jackson is probably a little bit older since I bought it in 1985, but it still plays and sounds great! I haven't tuned my MM down for OC yet, so the RR is my main guitar with JayDub's old Charvel on backup!

I do miss the MM though -- although I don't miss breaking my A strings like they are going out of style. They should sell packs of A strings just for this guitar :hotjump: However, it is still an awesome guitar with great action and sounds phenomenal. Much more versatile than my Jackson for sure.

See you on Saturday!

Very cool!

Yeah, see John? Come to the dark side John! To be honest, I am really surprised that you don't like Entropia since you like OHbtCL. I'm not as surprised that you don't like TPE or Remedy Lane and there is no mystery that you would HATE Be.

Yeah!!! Finally!!!! I love that album!

Funny thing is, their songs get stuck in my head all the time. I think they are quite memorable. Oh well... At least you like SyX! :-)

Yes, and this coming from the guy who loves Zappa and FK. I think to some extent we all like something that is a bit more obscure and off the wall. lol!!! You are really great at creating disgusting visuals!

Hahahahha! I think I'll stop byt he Chinese place and eat a bunch of broccoli and then get a big plate of refried beans from a Mexican place. Then I'm camping out in your room :puke:

I, too, think these albums are very similar. In fact, someone could have told me it's a double album and I would have believed it.

I'm on The Perfect Element now, and it is a bit more spastic so far.
