Pain of Salvation

TPE is probably my favourite album too. I also love the other three but I think TPE was the first one to really hit home with me. Remedy Lane is all based on Daniel's own life experiences so if you bear that in mind while reading the lyrics, it takes on a whole new meaning (especially A Trace of Blood).

I would like to welcome you all to our message board (except Satori ;))

I agree with you on this also. It's too bad that he's not hanging around with the guys Opeth and Porcupine Tree. I would like to see them get more aggressive!

hehe.. yah dude... how's it going? i was kinda out there for a bit busy up to my neck in school work and crap like that... girlfriends are also annoying in that they insist on so much time... uggg... oh well... i guess that's the price to pay for not being lonely... but it's getting better :) but i had to come back after the release of my new favorite Opeth album... Deliverance kicks my ARSE!

all is fine with me! I even found myself a girl that doesn't demand that much time... just my weekends, since we don't live in the same city... try finding one of those ;)

Remedy Lane is surely a masterpiece. The contrast between joy and sadness is startling. Tracks such as 'This Heart Of Mine' which describes a 'pledge of love' and the cold 'Undertow' the breaking of this pledge following straight after is just masterful. This ranks among Deliverance and In Their Darkened Shrines as album of the year 2002. Well in 'Metal' terms and of course in my opinion.

Am I the only one who refuses to rate TPE until its conclusion is made available to listen???

It's like calling The Fellowship of the Ring the Best movie ever, even though it is only 1/3 of the full movie.

As of now, I would give TPE a 46% score, roughly equal to a 92%, unless Daniel intends to go further beyond than TPE 2, which I doubt.
