I think I'd take Panopticon over most Opeth releases. It's really a great album. I'm not such a big fan of Oceanic other than From Sinking and The Beginning and the End.

I can't really say I'm surprised at the flames in this thread.

How does the new one stack up? It's the only one I've ever really paid attention to and it's pretty damn good. Did they have so many clean vocals on their earlier ones? I seem to remember Oceanic being quite similar to older Neurosis.

Even if Isis were compared to say Godflesh, they'd still loose. Not to imply that I don't like them though.
