Phil always seems to find a way to explain all of his actions without actually "blaming" himself for anything...kinda like Dave Mustaine. Pantera was a killer band, but Phil's actions really limited them in the end (Trendkill & Reinventing the Steel). As far as talent they all seemed to be pretty talented at what they did, and more importantly, formed a strong, cohesive unit. All the talent in the world won't make great music without a common bond.
