Paradise Lost prediction

"Filler" songs are bullshit. It seems people are calling fillers song they don't like as much or at all.

Ummm......

album length 68:40

number of songs 9

Longest song 15:22

Number of songs that I will dislike 0 :kickass:

Meters of toilet roll that I will get through listening to said album ?? :heh:

Sorry.... I'm all excited *pant pant*

I have two guesses:

Double-Disc album

7-8 songs on the first disc, with the epic taking up the second disc, with a length around 40 mins (similar to 6DoIT) (90-95 mins in total)

If not, then 9 songs. longest being around 16 minutes, and a total album length 71-72 mins.

I really hope that the "big" song is EXTREMELY big. I love big songs, and to me, the longer, the better, since SymX is always quality material.

The most filler-like song, IMO, is Witching Hour; which is still a fun listen.

Ptah, those songs aren't fillers; they are segues!

Yeah, those aren't fillers really...they're more soundscapes than filler. A Symphony X filler would be something like The Turning, even though that's a kick ass filler tune.

Thank you!

"Taunting The Notorious"? "The Haunting"? "The Turning"? C'mon...

is this an arbitrary dicision that these are filler tracks??? or is there record that SymphonyX actually threw em in for filler?

The Turning is no filler track, just a "kick ass [...] metal tune", which LePond and Romeo wanted to do

There's a grand total of 5 "kick ass metal tunes" on the album, and "The Turning", at least in my humble opinion, is far and wide the worst of the bunch... it's just kinda there, which makes it a filler song in my perception. Same with the other two songs quoted above. I apologize to anyone who thought I hold my opinions as facts... that really wasn't my intention.

The turning is a fast, awsome heavy song that goes with the overall tone of the album
The intro solo is amazing and the way that Russell sang it was almost like a battle, one point of the man then the other of the beast.. and he sings agressively at the first of the second verse
Alot of losers today say they scream or do cookie monster vocals because they want to sound evil or agressive, and whoever says that to me i show them the turning and how Russell sings and i say this ' Now that is how to sound evil but still singing '
And the harmonized parts are amazing
Oh ! And Romeo's solo, he does ths massive dive bomb at the first that completely goes with the song and how it is
Another work of art I say !

1 song, 3 albums wide, played entirely with michael pinella's hands and lap, and jason rullo's whistling.
