It's gonna be 10 tracks with 1 epic song, no "fillers". My best friend asked one of the bandmembers himself on Saturday (I'm not going to say who in the band, b/c I am assuming info is not supposed to leak), he says that Romeo hardly leaves his basement anymore. More than half of the album is recorded including all of the drums. The most exciting thing is that he said that the bass sound is going to rip!! Damn I can't wait...

btw, you do not have to believe this info if you don't want to...but living in New Jersey has its perks every once in a while...

I have no problem with this in theory, but please bear in mind that what one bandmember may mention in a casual conversation may not be what they want spread all over the internet as 'my friend's brother's cousin's nephew knows this one bandmember's wife's uncle's son who told me...', know what I mean? When it comes down to it, it's not hard to figure out who told who what, & blabbing too much will make the band wary of telling anyone anything, so just be discreet about it & everyone will be happy.

I'll add that that rule was voted on and enacted after years of 'versus posts' which became less than welcome here (often the same ones over and over); it's a pretty set thing that the majority of forum members don't want them here.

I'm sure that if Petrucci really wanted to play the interlude in Sea of Lies, he would find a way to play it. He might not tap it like Romeo; he'd arrange it differently; but he could do it.

I agree with this statement. I prefer to listen to Symphony X most of the time over Dream Theater, but when you reach the skill level of Romeo or Petrucci, you're at the top of your game. They are both excellent guitarists, and they both have their own strengths and weaknesses. Let's leave it at that.
