when you are playing the cd really low ,, all you fucking hear is the god damn kick , you have to turn the cd up real loud just to make it so the kick doesn't seem so overpowering.. and the guitars are way to quiet or soft or weak ,,
to sum up.....this production is shit ,, it just sucks..

Well I just listened to the tracks on the myspace , yeah the sound isn't as great as it was on Horizons , but I do like it , it's different. I would've made gtrs louder and vocals a lil lower though. But I really LOVE Sleepwalker

i am a fan of baresi's work but i really didnt liked this at all. a bit dissapointed, i was expecting something a bit more raw. its really some sort of semi produced, not raw, not produced, something of inbetween - without a clear direction. nothing different at all
and speaking of adam and raw / real sound / guitar tones whatever, adam has "Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child" up his sleeve; a 2002 record that sounds more fresh than this 2010 PD.

I'm not the biggest fan of that CD either. Love the songs but is a little one dimensional.

Been listening to the new album all day and its not as clinical as the two old albums and it has a bit more vibe, kinda like a deftones CD. Loving it. I actually haven't heard a metal CD this year which I like so much.

so far so good.

Songs are mostly great IMO, I like the production but the kick is too loud.
Maybe this was a compromise to use the real kick sound....

The song: HOME IS FOR THE HEARTLESS is so AWSOME!!!!!
On of the best songs PWD ever wrote!!!!!!!!!

Yeah that was my first thought too... I dunno. I quite like the songs but the production does not fit. It´s kinda cool that the drums weren´t quantized and you can really hear that at some spots. Snare sounds quite nice. Guitars are just too quiet -.- sad.

CD is growing on me. Now I realy like it and think it is better then Horizons (I was very disappionted in that album)

After my ears were adapted to the sound, I realy enjoy the mix too!!!
It took some spins so.
Problem is, when I listen to other cd´s after that one, they all sound so hifi and bass-poor
