Parts in songs that send shivers down your spine.

opeth - to bid you farewall, face of melinda
maiden - hallowed..
tool - eulogy(the scream)

I believe those 4 songs gave me the biggest eargasms of my life. Every time I listened to them back in the day, they'd make me into a shivering mess. I used to listen to those songs constantly just to get that sensation and one day, all of a sudden, the chills just stopped. I think i've had the chills maybe once or twice in the last 4-5 years. No matter how awesome something I hear is, it just doesn't happen.

here's the last song that gave me the chills

I'm going to add to love for the beginning of Candlemass's A Sorcerer's Pledge.

I really don't want to like Blut Aus Nord, but then the first whole song I listen to blows me away and gives me goosebumps towards the end. :erk:

Lately it's been the entire duration of this song that I go to for my fear fix:

Seriously one of the most brilliantly dissonant pieces I've heard. Competes with Godflesh and Blut Aus Nord.

Runk doesn't want to like Blut Aus Nord because he has a strong sense of tradition in his music and they tend to shirk it.

The first two seconds of the song. I don't know why but it creeps me the hell out :)

:D :D :D

There are so many, it's futile to try and list them all but here are some more of mine.

-Iron Maiden "Hallowed Be Thy Name" once the harmonizing guitars come in during "running loooooooowwwww"
-Morbid Angel "God of Emptiness" the part that goes "bow to me faithfully..."
-Bethlehem "Gestern Starb Ich Schon Heute" - the middle guitar solo. So simple but so...eargasmic.
-Windir - "Fagning" and "Aetti Morkna" - the slow synth interlude parts
-Metallica "Orion" - pretty much the whole song. "Master of Puppets" the guitar interlude in the middle (I can play it on violin and even though I sound awful I still get shivers when I play it!)
-Weakling - "This Entire Fucking Battlefield" - the slow/epic instrumental part toward the end
-Impaled Nazarene "The Horny and the Horned" - the middle part with the keyboard/accordion (what is it?), just sounds so primal and awesome.
-Tang Dynasty "Epic" - middle section with all the traditionalish Chinese instruments
-Amorphis "Brother Moon" - the whole damn song

*warning soft song*

I covered this song one time at a bar/gig with my friend's dad's band and had the bitches in tears. I doubt that makes it count in this thread, but a great song either way. Oh, and it makes Alina cream her pants too. lol
