Passenger

I downloaded InReverse first of all and really liked it, so I downloaded the rest of the album off Kazaa to see whether it was worth buying.

By the way, somebody said they couldn't find Passenger on Kazaa, well you must not know how to search properly :)

First of all get Kazaa Lite if you haven't already, it's tons better than the standard Kazaa. Once you've done that, in the search window, don't type anything in the main search box, instead click through the 'audio' radio choice button, then 'more search options, then check 'artist' and type in Passenger. Now the key thing is to check the 'Auto Search More' option at the top of the window. Hit the search button, and kick back for a while. It could be a few minutes or even straight away before results start coming in, but when they do, keep waiting, and more and more will eventually be found - with regards to Passenger songs you have to wait a while. With most of the songs you should get multiple users (the + sign next to the song) and then you're away.
And obviously in the download window at the bottom there's an options box, make sure to check Downloads> Find more sources.

Anyway, back to the subject of the album!! So I downloaded it and most of the songs are taking a while to grow on me, but I reckon 'Just the same' is a real standout as far as catchiness goes, I love the guitar riff and the chorus. I was kinda disappointed that there weren't more songs in the style of In Reverse and Just The Same.
I dunno, I had high hopes, but it's just not good enough for me to spend the money on. I sort of feel the same as I did when I heard Amaran for the first time - I heard Faith Healer and Little Victory and really liked them, but then a whole chunk of the rest of the album sucked quite a bit.

Hey, on a side-subject, has anyone heard of Lilitu? I heard of them through a download on ultimatemetal.com, their album Memorial is amazing, quality melodic death metal, emotional vocals, clean and shrieky, with good guitars, acoustic passages..........check them out if you've not done already.

Damnit, I want to listen to fucking Passenger but I can't find their CD anywhere, and it's getting damn annoying. I hate living in the US, I never get any good releases. I can't even find any of the songs on Kazaa.

I feel left out, and since it's coming from Anders Friden I know I'll enjoy it.

get on the dc hub

The only song I've heard is "In Reverse" and its pretty cool. The vocals sound like something bjorn from soilwork would do.

No, if it sounded like Soilwork then I woulldn't be able to stand it. It is much better than any of his vocals.
I've only heard two songs, and I'll buy the album in a month or so when school is over and I get a job and a new bass...

Soilwork has the worst vocals I've ever heard. they were bad at first, then they just got worse on NBC and FNF. I would rather listen to the vocal pop stuff, at least that is tolerable.

That's Century Media for you, dude. I got mine off of EBay from The End Records. I wish Passenger signed to Victory Records.

Hardly Steve...

Btw, since this is a Passenger thread, anyone know where to find the lyrics? :loco:

I like most of them but I would have to say "Just The Same", its the closest to In Flames (R2R stuff), and Circles is cool, it has a trippy feel to it, and Anders sings with a bit of a growl at the end. Whats yours?

I recieved my copy from theendrecords last week, it's basically what I expected it to be. I don't hate any of the songs but none of them are anything special. It's an average album.
