people's views on Death

Well, if I end your life, it sure as shit ain't your call. Therefore, as anyone at anytime could end your life, it would seem to be a quite the privilege.

This is your own personal view and does not bear any distinct truth.
Well actually the same goes to you. This is just your own personal view and doesn't bear any distinct truth.

It is actually well known that some people DO want to die.
You don't sound like a happy man, are you one of those?

It can be argued whether life is a privilege or something totally different.
Yeah and what is that ''totally different thing''?
Life is a privilege, even if you hate or love life, it's still a privilege to live. You really really sound depressed dude

My statements are generally based on reality and not personal beliefs. The fact is, life is not necessarily a privilege, as far as we know.

This is an intelligent discussion regarding Death. This thread has nothing to do with depression.

Assassin's are still murderers, even if they kill aspects of themselves with their sadness.

Mens Rea: Yes. You know the difference between good and bad, and will use it to your disadvantage.

Opening Statement: Your honor, it is the belief of the persecution that Mr. M. Wrath does not like himself at all, and that he would do everything in his power to stop something in himself from fully manifesting, or continuing to exist.

Exhibit A: Mr. Wrath does not know how any of this has to do with self-assassination. Studies have shown that the worst culprits often carried this same mind frame, your honor, and thus far has not made an effort to love the things he was depressed about instead.

Closing Statement: Your honor, we the persecution believe we have proven Mr. M. Wrath to be an assassin to himself, and thus suicidal, and thus breaking the law.

We will await the verdict.

death is something everyone must face. those that stand against it Do not prevail even as hard as they true to. So i say u should just accept the fact and live life to its fullest and not worry about the out come of us all.

Aw horseshit, you just don't wanna admit it. I tell it how it is man, if you've got a different story I'd like to hear it.

Death is the end of an organism...

The human ego leads us to believe that we are so special that we cannot end. This trait has been selected by evolutionary mechanics in that it allows us to function as individuals that self-preserve and procreate. If one did not function this way, they may not mate and would not promote the 'unspecial' trait. Essentially, the groups of genes (organisms) that believe they are special have more of a chance of promoting themselves than those that to not.

without human ego we would still have the bio-chemical "need to breed"

85% of the human population is heterosexual
and for most heterosexual people penis-in-vagina sex is the most blissfull sensation on the planet
even if we didn't specifically have the desire to "have children" we would still have "unplanned" pregnancies

Death is the end of an organism and everything associated with it.

Not necessarily true. You see (And I understand you didn't write it but you accept it so), you are a cause to an effect on the world, though your significance in relation to a greater consciousness (i.e. the natural motions of the universe and/or the organisms in it) is minimal, it is still significant in relation to you, your "gravity", what YOU can do to a situation to make it different. Even if you throw a pebble into a pond as opposed to a boulder, it still makes a splash.

When you measure the universe with a "frame by frame" perspective, you see that even though people die, their effects live on throughout time because they have created products of themselves. Such is the nature of cause and effect. So no, people do not completely die if their legacy is preserved in the world.
