PERIPHERY Icarus Lives Video Premiere

Well obviously, but where do the connotations come from?

If I started calling everything that was bad, my pals, Im sure people wouldnt accept it as easily.

"Oh I didn't mean it in a racial way, I was just saying how bad something was."

EDIT: My comment isn't directly at you, as you are using the word in a more of an ironic "macho" type way. Just sick and tired of people calling this guy "gay" because he sings the way he does. But nonetheless, my point still stands.

EDIT: found what I was looking for ;).

Have to see how the full album is after a few listenings, but im sure it will be great and I for one actual dig scream vocals with "emo" edge instead of angry shouting or bruthal growls.

ON TOPIC, im at work so cant hear how the video goes with the song.. but so far it was kinda meh, cool at first but later it would not hurt to make it progress a bit heh

where is the love? I've been listening to this album past week and it's getting better and better. I'm not to disturbed by the vocals at all. I admit in the first song the guitars sound really strange in the opening riffs but all in all it suits great for all the different styles they're doing.

Damn I wonder how many people here HAVEN'T actually caved in and downloaded the leak. I can't say anything about the album until I get it in the mail next week (hopefully)

Just want to say that I really dig the guitar tone on the tracks I've heard. It's obvious that they weren't going for a super-saturated type tone and were going for a very articulate, almost single-coil type sound. I dig it and think it works great for the music.

Honestly, for me.. this music is all very impressive technically.. but I get no vibe from it. It just doesn't project emotion and I cannot connect with it. When you listen to Meshuggah, you want to break shit... when I listen to Periphery - I want to open Logic and load up an amp sim.

Didn't think i was doing anything that bad. I was echoing my distaste for the band, as anyone would for a band like Attack Attack. Don't see many people here crying over shit thrown at that band...

My week long ban that happened late last year would like a word with you.

wow i thought this video was going to be horrible by all the earlier comments. haha i like it. and why the fuck did some call them crabcore and compare them to attack attack? must've watched the wrong video! lolz

Personally I watched most of the video. But once I realized that glass wasn't going to be wiped or broken or things were going to change period, I had enough. It was basically the same still shots over and over again. How much more boring can you get?
Sure it might be memorable, but not in a good way. I seriously doubt I'll ever watch that video again.

:D +1 about wanting to break stuff haha

The Walk with Chris' vocals made me want to break shit. The Walk with Spencer's vocals makes me want to put on The Walk with Chris' vocals and break shit.

Not that I agree with what you said, but that's a hilarious way of putting it :lol::lol:
