Cutting your hair doesn't make it grow faster, it doesn't make it thicker, and it doesn't make it darker. It's just that when it's very short, you notice the growth more, it is flat at the end (if you cut it), so it will feel thicker and harder, and because it is flat at the end, you will see more of it than you would if it had been rounded, and so it will seem darker, to. These hair lies seem to be very widely accepted, though. (Oddly enough.)
