Lost In Necropolis
The mp3 player I'm using fits 10, or 11... it's ancient. The other one is dead, I ignored it too long and it just refuses to charge. So fuck it...

I'm a CD person myself, but bringing CD's on a plane is a pain in the ass these days, since all my shit has to be crammed and I fear cracking one.

So 10 albums to rip... pick them!

AND GO.

death metal shit:
Death - Human
Dismember - Like An Everflowing Stream
Infinitum - Behold Eradiction
Usipian - Dead Reckoning
Vader - Litany

doom:
Slumber - Rapture

mellow or semi mellow:
Anathema - Judgement
Katatonia - Last Fair Deal Gone Down
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia

And one Nevermore disc for good measure. Communic or Pathos - Katharsis works as well.

I'll take (Edit: REMOVED, Not in the mood for it, but Dismember stays) Like an ever flowing stream...

Slumber is gay... I don't even get why the doom title is attached to those faggots. It's melodic death metal, and not even good melodic death metal/rock at that. Edit: I can see where the Death Doom label can be coming from, considering their entire album sounds like they cut and pasted Brave Murder Day and Viva Emptiness together... but even then, Brave Murder Day wasn't even really a death doom album itself. That album had an impossible to classify quality to it, thats been copied and copied again and again. I'd rather hear the actual album, not yet another clone.

Reverend Bizzare's Crush The Insects (an actual doom album) has taken its place.

Anyway, a few more albums to go... so far I have (thanks to various sources) :

Agalloch - Pale Folklore
Dismember - Like An Everflowing Stream
Hour of 13 - S/T
Mael Mordha - Cluain Tarbh
Reverend Bizarre - II: Crush The Insects
Warning - Watching From a Distance

4-5 more to go!

October Falls - Womb of Primordial Nature
Darkspace - III
Adramelch - Broken History
Ancient Rites - And the Hordes Stood as One

Hmm... October Falls I have overplayed the last few days. I need to give it a rest over the week...

Adramelch's Broken History and Darkspace III though, good choices! They're on.

Ancient Rites will not make the cut however, since I have played that album almost 5 times a week since they were announced for HC3. Really gotta give that album a break

Slumber's atmospheric as fuck and not a Katatonia ripoff at all really :p Rapture is a Katatonia ripoff and a good one at that. For gay melodeath disguised as doom, you have Swallow the Sun :p

Slumber's got the atmosphere of a gay porno... on steroids. It's atmosphere is essentially Brave Murder Day. I swear every riff on that album was done on either Brave Murder Day or Viva Emptiness. Couldn't stand that record. Rapture is also in the list of bands that just need to sit back and write something original. Swallow the Sun, on the other hand, outside of the DeathMelodicDoom comparisons, atleast have an ounce of originality in what they do.

Xasthur's Nocturnal Poisoning, Malefic may be a fat emo, but that album has some good stuff on it.

Some Sunn O))) could be good too.

Sunn O))) can suck a giant dick. Xasthur's Noc was alright, but a little too generic USBM for my tastes.

Not sure which Malefic you're refering to, but I don't think I've ran into one that I've liked.

Edit: Code is a no... a fuck no actually.

Sacrifice, on the other hand, is very very possible. I'll think about it.

Anyway, the list is now almost finalized:

Adramelch - Broken History
Agalloch - Pale Folklore
Amenra - Mass IIII
Darkspace - III
Dismember - Like An Everflowing Stream
Hour of 13 - S/T
Mael Mordha - Cluain Tarbh
Reverend Bizarre - II: Crush The Insects
Warning - Watching From a Distance

1 more album to go. OH THE CHOICES!
