Roope is anexcellent guitarist...
Janne is a VERY excellent keyboardist...
I really like Henkka's bass when he does sweet riffs isuch as Hate Me! or Bodom Beach Terror
Jaska is a very good drummer, and i dont find him all that repetative.

Also...dont you think having a poll insulting the band on their own offcial Messageboard biased?

naah... just questioning the "metalgods" i mean...yeah they can play their instruments, and do it flwless mostly.. but i think they repeat them selves too mutch.. I mean, if you think i am wrong im sure of that you have ways to protect them.

technically you could rip apart Sonata Arctica...Tonny Kakko wirtes everything, and has been on keybaords for 2 of their studio albums (correct me if im wrong please), and There are many great shedders like Jani.

Yes, CoB are great band !!! but it doesn’t mean that they have reached the top and there is nothing to do from there on.
It is important to get criticized (and to know how to take it as well) in order to get better.

Besides it is internet, you can say what ever you want.
And if you don’t like something, say it with a point or shut up your self.

Sonata Arctica has some fucking awesome shredders. (Guitarist and keytarist)

Alexi shreds good too but fuck is it getting boring (On the new album). They need to get inspired by some good music.

I definitely agree. Alexi writes everything. Don't even kid yourself and say Henkka does anything, Jaska's good but who's writing the beats/riffs? Janne's the only one really contributing, I doubt Alexi's writing his parts. Roope, I don't think he's written anything? And there are plenty of shredders out there. If I'm wrong about Roope let me know. Still, even with Janne, he's only contributing his own parts. The band could very well be called "Alexi Laiho and the Children of Bodom, featuring Janne Warman."

I think Janne is VERY VERY talented, along with Henkka, Roope and Jaska, and Alexi is my favorite musician. Yes all the members matter.

Janne does not contribute a whole lot. Alexi writes all the music and lyrics. He writes the keyboard parts on his guitar. The other guys are allowed to make 'suggestions', but they are nowhere near a part of the writing process.

i do not dislike the fact that alexi writes all the music... i bet he is a very creative musician... the thing that bugs me is that he writes it so selfdominantly... he gets all the "showoff" parts, the others should also be able to have their time on the centre of the stage... well maybe the keyboardist follows his solos...but the others basically have nothin...drummer plays the same fucking powermetalcomp on every track... the bassist should get some moodfull fills and occasional leads to get his fun, the other guitarist comps alexis solos (not quite sure of the new guitarist, i havent listenet to cob for a while)... i hate the fact that the others are basically ignored and blownaway by alexis egoism. Now there you have it, music is not intresting if everyelement is not planned into the sligtest little detail with the best results possible.
