Ive just finished some mixes for a Swedish band called Amaranthe (Gothenburg).

They are not as metal as some on this forum but take a listen, its catchy!

My duties were re-amp the guitars, mix and master.

Any one want some details just ask, im happy to share

EDIT - Second song also

Finished this literally today. Mixed 1 song per day with 1 day for changes submitted by the band and managment.

Yea, im hearing you guys, I approached the mix as a metal song, Gtrs loud and vox slotted just nicely behind, but it didnt suit it very well. The band really wanted pop vocals (loud as hell) so thats what they got! haha

I like the songs, ill upload another song aswell

Performance is everything, esecially with three singers! One female singer, one male singer and one male screamer.

The bands guitar player tracked all the vocals, bass and di guitars into Behringer pre's at the singer's (male singer) home studio.

Doesnt matter at all to me, as long as the vibe is good. Drums were recorded more conventionally at a studio.

Great fun working with them, in my opinion they are super talented at writing catchy pop songs.

why they were not at Eurovision this year? Finnish guys kicked everyone a few years back, these dudes would do to. :-)

Cool, thats very much guys. Im going to put the mix details up if your intererested? It will be allot of work so ill only do it if people want it.

It was mixed ITB (Tools HD 8). Gtrs are re-amped with one track of 5150 3 and one track of the old classic 5150.

Wow, I actually liked the female vocalist...her tone is nice. I usually hate these female metal vocalists like in Deadlock.

waiting ;), fuck great mix !!! more info about reverbs and settings on vocalls ???

Stay Metall !!!

:kickass: Of course all mix details will follow.

Overall three reverbs, Two on the drums

DVerb and Revibe on the drums (going into the drum compresor) and One main Reverb (again Revibe).

Delay is Echo Boy (the best fucking delay, killer IMO)

Holy shit, great band , that's going to my usb stick to go on my car stereo, great mix also, despite the loud vox. Great work dude !
