I hope your ankle is allright Kevin. It looks that you might have to get a cast for quite some time. I had a similar injury 4 years ago and I had to get a cast and wear that for a month. I hope that is not the case for you.
The green stuff might help with the pain

Just got back from the ER. X-rays came back negative, it's just a sprain, fortunately. Just have to stay off of it for a few days, and keep it elevated with ice. They put an air splint on it and wrapped it up. Now I have to learn to walk on crutches and so far, that shit isn't very easy.

But I'm relieved

I'm glad it is not broken, and you got away with just that. Crutches are a pain in the ass though. I hope it gets better soon.

But realistically, it is better. Less swelling, and big bruising like that is typical in the healing process of sprains.
