Power Metal

Can you guys recommend me some good power metal bands?
Anything besides Sonata Arctica, Dragonforce, and Angra.

Hammerfall, Kamelot, Blind Guardian, Black Majesty, Brainstorm, Demons & Wizards, Dream Evil, Edguy, Heavenly, Hibria, Primal Fear, Rhapsody...That should get you started

-Helloween
-Armageddon (Chris' solo band from Arch Enemy - first album has harsh vocals though)
-Sinergy (Alexi Laiho's side-project along with Roope (other CoB guitarist))
-Racer X (although more like old school heavy metal ... but the guitar rocks so what the hell)
-Symphony X

... dunno if you already knew those ones.

Yeah I know of Helloween,Sinergy,Symphony X, and Dream Theater and
yes ofcourse Stratovarius. Thanks for the other bands, I'll check em out.

Nevermore - The Politics Of Ecstasy
Slough Feg - Down Among The Deadmen
Bruce Dickinson - The Chemical Wedding

Last three are probably more "heavy metal" than power but they might interest you.

Also Iron Maiden and Blind Guardian are great.

Avantasia is great has the guy from Edguy in it, also Dream Theater and Symphony X is not power metal it's progressive metal.
But there is one great band which is prog/power called Pagan's Mind, they are amazing everyone check them out.

hmmm, im not a huge fan of Blind Guardian, i only really like a few songs by them, so i cant really help with that, sorry. But for Dream Evil, Dragonslayer is a really good cd

Thanks for the long list, I'll check them all out.
I got Symphony X's V: The New Mythology Suite, its pretty badass.
I got Dream Theater's Awake and thats good too.
I got all three Pagan's Mind albums, those are good also.
Then I'll need to check all the other bands posted here as well.
