pro tools and midi controllers

anyone else have trouble switching channels with midi devices in pro tools?

im on mac pro with pro tools 8, im trying to switch from channel 1 to channel 2 on the actual keyboard, but pro tools continues to see it as channel 1 =\

What midi controller are you using...I had a problem with that a while ago and digi said there was something with the JL cooper support or something, its not integrated into pt8 for some reason...im still trying to find a fix
