Opeth are so good in so many ways, they are beyond category. No matter how long their songs are, they never drag or get repetitive. They are among the best in the history of rock, metal, and progressive.

I like Porcupine Tree, even though they are not metal.

Dream Theatre are way too wanky for me. They are boring and put me to sleep.

nevermore - power metal? unless you refering to the 1st album they are far from power. they are much closer to prog then to power.
don't know what to call them really, groovy dark epic metal or something
certainly not power, i hate power metaluke:

i'm a prog rock fan King Crimson, Genesis , ELP, Pink Floyd, Rush... all the classics, metalwise i like opeth, dream theater(old), Zero Hour, Symphony X.
