I rarly start fanboi threads like this. But im curious.

about when did mike start writing for Ghost Reveries? (month year? day) and about when did they start rehearsing, then start going into the studio.

So we can have SOME idea when to expect news flowing for the new Opeth LP.

I think it's said somewhere that Mikael has had the riffs for over 15 years and just structured them together for the Ghost Reveries album...

I could see some of the riffs being past ideas. But Mike seems like the type of riff writer that writes with the current idea, or concept in mind. Rather then churning out old ideas.

i think its a bit of both, cause he has his old school influences, plus all the stuff that he gets into. like when they said the next album is going to be heavily influenced by scott walkers 'the drift'. i dunno, thats what i gather from it all.
