I have three devin townsend records accelerated, ocean machine and synchestra and i also own alien. I like all his stuff but i'm mainly into the darker songs like bastard pt1, deadhead and suicide. are there any tracks off his other cds that are in that vein?

Infinity: Life Is All Dynamics, Unity (though that one's not heavy at all)
Physicist: Planet Rain
Terria: Deep Peace (just for the solo, a must), Tiny Tears

well, yeah, actually neither Infinity nor Terria contain any _really_ depressing or dark stuff... although I think Life Is All Dynamics and Unity are pretty intense.

ok another one...try "Spirituality" off Strapping Young Lad's "City"..that's a pretty slow, dark tune...not terribly depressing though

Get all of City and Infinity. Infinity isn't too dark, but is captivating and insane. Devin's albums are really best heard as wholes over single songs, with only AE being less essential as a whole.

And yeah, Bastard is amazing.
