Quorthon died today

Either way I'd be willing to write a review for either of the two Bathory albums I own.

but yeah. this sucks. i don't have my bathory cds with me, even though anathema fits the way i feel at the moment. it's always weird to lose someone you don't even know that still touched your life in some way.

I would be honoured to review any of Under the Sign, BFD, Hammerheart, Twilight... or even Requiem seeing as noone gives that album the proper recognition.

you can do BFD, i'll do any of the other 3 i own (the return, twilight, n2), but i don't want to get into specifics now. we have to do SOMETHING, though. not very many people in music meant as much to me as Quorthon.

I don't think it will sink in for me until I get home tomorrow after work and listen to Hammerheart. Feeling sadder by the minute. I definitely share lutz and Erik's feelings. I think it was lutz who got me into Bathory or vice versa, cheers anyway.

It's not. I was pretty shaken up when Layne Staley died two yeasr ago. Obviously people serious about music take these kinds of events personally, and rightfully so. Just look at all the signatures still dedicated to Chuck Schuldiner around UM.

I would definetly be willing to contribute to that. Ive got all the bathory albums besides the Octagon, but Im not really worried about picking an album at the moment.

Yeah it's a shame for the guy and his family, but musically it was probably not the greatest loss. I mean the last many albums have not been anything thing special for me. But I hail Bathory as one of the best bands ever due to these albums:

Count me in if the offer is still open. Quorthon was hugely influential, and while I don't have many albums (solely due to lack of money, a problem I hope to rectify soon), I have Nordland I and would love to contribute a review...
