I was thinking how fucking cool it would be to hear Vintesorg collaborate with another vocalist...I was thinking Dan Swano, but someone with I higher voice (a Russell Allen, Rob Tyrani of Labyrinth) type would be amazing as well......told ya it was a random thought!

hmm... i don't think Vintersorg needs any male backup. :)
Cia was the perfect companion, maybe Andrea Nebel Haugen from Hagalaz' Runedance.

i'd like to hear him sind with simen or garm.
2 equally great voices would just crash ;)

That might be but it would definitely be very
interesting to hear how it'd turn out!
Though I doubt it will ever happen.... Simen's
voice is amazing and so is Vintersorg's. They
have strengths in different ways when it
comes to their voices so I just think it could
be really interesting....

especially a duet with garm would be great IMHO, cuz garm has a totally different style than vintersorg...
and i agree, andrea haugen would be the perfect female backup :)

I think Cia would be great :)

on a similar note, how do you pronounce Cia's first name. Is it a hard 'c' or a soft one?

Hard or soft? Tja, the 'c' is pronounced 's', and both syllables are equally pressurised........ pronounce Ci as you do 'c', and 'a' as 'ah'
-> ['si:'ah]

I think it would be great if Vintersorg will sing with a female opera vocalist. Like Floor of After Forever, or the singer of Tristania.
Vortex would also be great. btw in which bands sings he too. I know him only from Borknagar.

Don't forget Tarja! Who, IMHO, beats Viebke Stene, and probably Floor, but I have other issues with After Forever that may be affecting my perception.

excelt, I've been pronouncing it right.
that is an example of a soft 'c'. A hard 'c' would be the [k] sound as in candy.

Tarja... aaack.... she is almost a middle class opera singer!!!
She can really sing high pitches! Sorry, but I personally think she gets classes well to high... I personally think she still has a lot to learn and practising to become an good opera singer!

No I can not imagine Vintersorg with Tarja...
Cia fits great, but thinking of someone new... uh very hard to pick.

Vintersorg with another male vocal, first I could not imagine it at all, basicly I just luv his voice toooooooo much, but today at work I actually got someone in my mind... Dirk Thurisch / Angel Dust...

Well, I don't think Vintersorg with any opera singer would work...

with the timbre of his voice, a very strong female vocalist would not work well. A soft singer would work, and Cia did that well. (I have no doubt that many "strong" singers would do the soft well, I just haven't heard it. Cristina Scabbia does it well.)

brain dead... too much copying today.
