Random thought...

I had a random thought too. Do someone know the band/project Ayreon. Well, I think it would be really great if Vintersorg will sing on a album of Ayreon. For the one who don't know this project, the music is in general progressive rock with influences of metal, pop, folk and a lot of other music styles. Arjen Lucassen is writes most of the songs and do the guitar, synt and sometimes singing. His albums are rock opera's and the stories goes about science fiction. There are a lot of good guest musicians like Bruce Dickinson, Sharon den Adel (Within Temtation), Ed Warby (Gorefest), Floor Jansen (After Forever) and much more. It would be so great if Vintersorg will sing of one of these albums.

Oh, know him. I had tought about it too, but he does a project with Swanö now, so it would be to simular if he does something with Vintersorg as well...

LET ARJEN TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT!!

Dear Ayreonauts,

I'm happy to tell you the latest news about my upcoming project!
It will not be an Ayreon album but a metal album with 4 singers.
I'm currently writing and recording it.
I haven't decided on the name of the project yet.

I've almost finished the lyrics.
They are based on several great space movies that have influenced me over the years.
The album will be a journey through my mind, so to speak, to experience those movies with me.

There will be 4 singers who will sing on all of the songs like on Actual Fantasy.
Now I've heard many new rock operas lately, and although the quality is very high, I noticed that on several of them the vocalists sound very similar throughout.
So I decided to use a wide variety of singers:

a low voice: Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity/Nightingale),
a clear voice: Damian Wilson (Ayreon/Threshold),
a powerful tenor voice: Russell Allen (Symphony X/Ayreon)
and a high female voice: Floor Jansen (After Forever/Ayreon).
Ed Warby (Gorefest/Ayreon) will drum,
and the keyboard solos will be played by
Jens Johansson (Malmsteen/Dio/Stratovarius) and
Erik Norlander (Lana Lane/Ayreon).
Other musicians may still be added.
I will play all the other instruments.

I want to finish the album this year,
so it could be released as early as the beginning of next year.

This album will focus on the heavy side of Ayreon, so the familiar Ayreon sound will still be there.
I will start writing the next actual Ayreon album next year, and after this heavy album,
the next Ayreon album will consequently probably become more proggy.

I hope you will all like it. Be assured that I won't disappoint you!

Well, that makes 2 of us. If they were on the survivor, I could never vote for them. Atleast unless it was between Savatage and Vintersorg, then it'd be a toughy, but since they aren't on Survivor, it doesn't matter.

I think Liv Kristine is one of the better, ones, I think.... But Cia's the best. I think mr. Vintersorg should stick to her.
 
Well... Tohether with Mikael Stanne in an extreme version of Shadow Duet, alternate with Stanne, Mikael Åkerfeldt and Tompa Lindberg in an album dedicated to brutal, yet melodic, Deathcoregrindfleshkäng Metal, the project would be named something nasty and the only other musician I came to think of would be Tobbe from Soulreaper on drums (worlds fastest and coolest, no doubt about it...)... Well... I´m getting out of subject, still it would be cool with an extrem growl duel...:D

Hmmm, while I´m at it, throw in Dan Swanö too...:D
