Taken from the other thread:

I disagree with the whole "Base your vote on the band's most recent offering"-thing. It'd be similar to voting for Finntroll instead of Emperor because "Nattfödd" is better than "Prometheus"

And I thought this was only a suggestion from JayKeeley, not the official rule. Bleh.

Ulver.

Iron Maiden - Dance of Death

(And yes, I've heard both, and I *imagine* that if you're voting for Svidd Neger, you're still voting on the principle that you prefer Ulver the band, hate heavy metal, or you're still hung up about Bergtatt being one of the finest albums of all time (which it is)). :)

Zod - the Slough Feg count is 19 - 17. It doesn't change the outcome, but I'm just validating. Still, looks like a Slough Feg vs Burzum match up, w00t!

I agree that it's not perfect, but we do need some way to break the tie. We can't compare each band's best disc, as which is their best is completely subjective.

It was his suggestion, and I think it's an ideal one. If you have a better idea for breaking ties, that we could use in the future, let me know.

I think I forgot to vote in the big main thread. Can I cast all my votes for each band now?

If not, then throw in a "Dance Of Death" from me :p

Svidd Neger is an album of unruly proportions, and from what I understand Dance of Dance is either more of the same Maiden (surprise surprise) or lackluster to longtime fans. Blah blah blah none of this matters, flim flam floo, etc.

Ulver.
