I will. Im usually a fast reader, but now I dont have that much time and in this particular case it is also better to read it chapter by chapter with breaks in between.
I just finished kingdom of fear by Hunter S. Thompson. Was totally ace. Kinda sad readingknowing he died pretty much one year ago. Just really shows how shit everything's become.
Now I'm reading Demon by Hubert Selby Jr. See what Harry is up to this time.
What's Kingdom Of Fear about? I read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas a couple of days ago, the movie is surprisingly 1:1 with the book. What else by him is good to read?

Kingdom of Fear is his Auto-biography. It's the most truthful account of his wild escapades... he doesn't just do it, he reflects on it all. Best bit is at the end, the Jack Nicholson incident... unbelievable. That incident was kept completely secret and underwraps for a while, and then Hunter writes it in his biography. Nuts.
i'm almost done with le carré's the secret pilgrim. in the last three years, i've been re-reading large chunks of his work; i had read italian translations when i was younger, while now i can fully appreciate the extensive use of english. and i can also appreciate, by reading his books close together, how all the spy stories have a single deeper philosophical theme, which i can closely relate to. i'll take a break to read something else now and then pick up the night manager again when i leave for england next week. and this also means that i get to buy other le carré books in english.
An extremely good post-apocalyptic sci-fi read is this thing (read from bottom to top; i.e. the third chapter is on top and a poem-prologue and a real prologue are at the bottom).
