Recabinet Complete 2.0 - Fall Sale 80% Off!!!

Nice video Kazrog. Now that I've seen it in use and heard it I will pick this up this afternoon. Got to buy a convolution reverb too so I'm looking forward to this :D

Just picked this up Shane, had to at this price! Nice one man! :headbang:

Looking forward to putting these to use.

Purchased! I have a clip up on the Recabinet site, and I've always dug the impulses from the demo. I just rarely use them. At this price, though, it's an easy purchase to justify in terms of having a safety net to salvage some recordings!

I think he's just referring to the fact that in the past I've posted a few videos with me narrating - I must say though, you're a very well-spoken gent, with excellent diction (this is the highest compliment I can give, trust me  ), really heightens the professionalism of the presentation!

Marcus - I haven't seen your videos, I'll have to check those out. Thanks for the compliments, I honestly was just trying really hard not to fuck up. A singing coach I had once taught me that it's all about emphasizing consonants if you want to be understood - leave the vowel emphasis for the opera singers. It changed the way I sing, and the way I talk, to some extent.

Dimi - that clip sounds fantastic as usual, what preamp/software/etc. is that?

Hmm, makes a lot of sense (emphasizing consonant over vowels), interesting that it had an impact on your everyday speaking as well! And nah, my vids are mostly just me giving halfassed little Reaper tutorials and the like, nothing to see here  FYI though, one thing I picked up during my travels of Germany a couple of summers ago is that it's a soft "g" in Engl (So "Eng-ull," rather than "Eng-gull" :D)

By the way, do you have plans to do either of the following in the future?

More speaker types. V30s are great, but it would be nice to have other speakers, like CL-80s, C-90s, or some neodymium guitar speakers, available. I know that not all of the current "modern" impulses use V30s, but the speakers I listed seem to be pretty popular in the modern metal scene. I think I've only ever seen one set of CL-80 or C-90 (don't remember which) impulses before, so that's something that could be somewhat unique and that I'd imagine would get a lot of use around these parts.

Impulses made with a flat response solid state power amp. This would get the sound of the cab without the tonal coloration of a typical power amp, which would be ideal when power amp simulation is already being taken care of. Of course, I'm mainly thinking about the Axe-FX here.

Interesting, because my speaking coach told me exactly the opposite. Maybe because he's also an Opera singer. ;)

Generally, emphasizing the vowels will make your speech more fluent and reduces staccato.

Your pronunciation is quite good though, it's the general delivery (which parts of the sentence are emphasized in what way) that gives away that you aren't a trained speaker. It sounds a bit too read out and one can notice that you're really trying and struggling to sound really professional, but that exactly kinda backfires and you're ending up with what is called "pseudo-professional" speech.

But as I said already, you did really well for somebody who isn't trained and much better than many who do this for a living. ;)

So, keep going!
