My graphic designer mentioned that the regular digi was really void of any thing inside, like no lyrics or nothing. I'm sure has he was looking at it he was thinking, "my layouts look better than this".

yeah the deluxe has 24 page booklet with individual Dore-style wood carvings for each song on the album. plus it has 2 bonus tracks not listed on the outside. It's sweet.

I have seen the booklet, that is the one we got. I have not listened to it yet because Jamie had it in the car, which could ebd up bad as we know, but I got it out this evening.
So unlisted bonus tracks; is one the Depeche Mode cover?

I have not listen to those guys in 21 years. Come to think of it, not sure whatever happened to those albums. Well I did loose a lot of my punk and hardcore albums and 7"s when I was about 25.

This Tribulation is a fairly new Swedish Death Metal band. Their debut "The Horror" is one of the best DM albums I've heard since the early 90s! "Formulas of Death" is also great but very different - progressive and weird.

Just arrived:

Vektor - Outer Isolation (Japan edition)
Scariot - Strange To Numbers (Japan edition)
Chthonic - Relentless Recurrence (Symphonic Black from Taiwan)

On their way:

Opera IX - XX Years Of Witchcraft (triple DVD with live performances all over their career)
Mitochondrion - Parasignosis (crazy Death Metal)
StarGazer - The Scream That Tore The Sky (see above)
Antigama - Warning (Voivod playing Grindcore?)
Calm Hatchery - Sacrilege Of Humanity (Technical Death from Poland)
Zero Hour - The Towers Of Avarice (one of the best Prog Metal bands around, in my opinion)
Jag Panzer - Casting The Stones (underrated during their entire career)
Death - Individual Thought Patterns (1999 reissue, no need for triple cds with useless tracks)
Economist - New Built Ghetto Status (Prog Thrash from Germany, discovered here :D)

What is like compared to Nominon, Evocation and other throwback bands. they currently give me my fill of old school Swedish DM (OSSDM).

Memory Garden-Doomain (2cd)
Breathe-All That Jazz (Deluxe Reissue)
Almah-Motion
Gun-Break The Silence
Helker-Somewhere In The Circle
Lord-Digital Lies
Pink-The Truth About Love

It's pretty relentless thrashing death metal more in the direction of say Merciless than Asphyx or Autopsy. Catchy riffs and a non gutteral sounding vocalist. The Horror is a brilliant album. I haven't heard Nominon but Evocation is boring as hell IMO

Listened to the new Ghost last night; it certainly is not as catchy as the first one, actually it is sort of boring. It did bring to mind Antonus Rex and put me in the mood for an Argento film.
It really sounds like they tried to hard on this to, it just doesn't seem natural like the first one. It is pretty good but I will not be going to it as often as the first one.

See, I figured you'd love it with as proggy as it is. I like it more each time I hear it. It is a huge departure from the debut though.
