I've watched Star Trek (all seasons of all episodes except enterprise because i dont like it)

I've watched all of Stargate SG1, I dont like Atlantis, and im currently watching Stargate Universe.

So i need something for the days while im waiting for the new Stargate Universe Episodes

Something close to Stargate or Star Trek would be nice.

What are your recommendations?

If you've watched all of DS9, then surely you know it's by far the greatest of all the ST series (though TNG is close) :D And thus, you undoubtedly crave more, so I give you: Babylon 5 (the creator of B5, J Michael Straczynski, claims that he submitted his "bible" describing the universe and setting of B5 to Paramount, and they rejected it, but then took a lot of the ideas to make DS9 - and honestly, I'm inclined to believe it, as the similiarities between the two are rather ridiculous, though only in the beginning, they both of course diverge to do their own thing). Seriously though, check it out man, really fantastic show!

Hi Mick :)

Read this:

And after that, I recommend buying the game Mass Effect for PC or Xbox360. You will cum! It was the best sci fi experience I ever had.

Battlestar Galactica. The new one. Watch it from the beginning. IMO, the greatest Sci-Fi show in history.

Here's what the cylons look like:

Oh yeah, and the story is mindblowing as well.

B5 was great - I bought the entire series on DVD several years ago and still pop a disc in every now and again.

Battlestar Galactica! Damn Finnish tv networks won't pick it up again (one channel got to .. about the beginning of 3rd season??)
Farscape, Stargate, DS9, B5.. so many good shows and what do they show here? Big Brother 24/7!!! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...
</end nerd rant>

Authors: Vernor Vinge (A Fire Upon the Deep, A Deepness in the Sky), Orson Scott Card (the Ender saga), Robert Charles Wilson (Spin)... and of course the usual suspects Asimov, Clarke, Herbert, Niven...

lol right quite a bit of stuff there. i'm going to give BS a go and DS9, and that Mass Effect: Revelation thing sounds totally fucked up so it could be interesting!

thanks lads - going to head to town tomorrow and pick up some box sets then

firefly series. freakin' amazing. the serenity movie is a nice way to wrap up your viewing of the series.
