As I mentioned in another thread, the band that for me comes closest to Nevermore, and has evoked similar passions in me, is Alice In Chains.

But else: No, Nevermore are truly unique, and I simply can't get where that very special mood comes from that they have.

Maybe if one backtracked the guys thru Sanctuary and even further back, one could get some notion of where their genius come from, but particularly Warrel seems completely beyond my comprehension, kinda like Gandhi, Shakespeare, Wagner, Hegel, people of that caliber

Let's be honest here for a second. If you're truly looking for discussion regarding Nevermore and bands similar to them, as much sense as it doesn't make, you're not in the right place. It's been beaten to death here. It seems you should be able to understand that by now, but you're not really getting it.
