Recoms: If you like Nevermore, you just might like ... cause ...

You realise that you don't have to sign your name at the end of every post yeah? Your username sort of already tells us that...

It's an old habit, Swabs.

You have habits too, dontya, like picking your nose when (you think that) nobody is watching, and scratching your balls when talking on the phone.

This was the only nice post you'll get from us :).

Well, thanks for showing me some niceness :p

The main problem, I guess, is that there is very little structure in the Neverboard. Conversely, in The Shattered Room, where I'm a long-standing member, you can quickly find the standard and harrowed stuff, which newbies can amuse themselves with (shattered-room.net (I'm Nicky007 there too :) )). On the Neverboard you'd have to spend long hours chewing thru all sorts of dumbassed burgers and stuff to get some substance, and that aint my style. I just like talkin with you guys, and you seem responsive :mad::rolleyes::cry::cool::erk::Smug: :heh:

The reason why I mention Dream Theater in line with Nevermore is that these two groups are among the absolutely most intelligent and creative in a world crowded with moronic, senseless thrash-growl-bang-dang metal groups, who make a fetish out of shouting "satan" and stuff like that. I simply don't understand why some folks here don't get that.

And I consider Scar Symmetry to be in that select group too.

Honestly, guys, how many metal bands have gotten past their puberty and sing not about teenage revolt (satan, pussy, and stuff) but about mature matters like God, fate, true love, and that jive.

Sound like an ooold man here, but that's what I go for in Nevermore music :headbang:

And what's all this about "Denmark" and "Danish" ? Are you guys jealous cause I'm surrounded by all these gorgeous blondes ?

Nicky.

Nicky (just to annoy you)

but Little Nicky, isnt the point of making "Recoms" to inform people of bands they haven't heard and might enjoy? what the FUCK is the point of recommending incredibly popular bands, that fans of a smaller band like nevermore couldnt possibly be ignorant of?!?!

Look where I live and you'll understand why I can deal with the lack of structure and actually enjoy it on an internet forum.

See Max's post. Seriously, dude, do some fucking research.

I prefer brunettes. Infinitely more beautiful.

This Nicky fella is clearly ( edit: ) not new to music.

I'm just critical. I have about 1500 cd's myself, and I'v listened to thousands of bands elsewhere (friends, libraries, cd-stores, radio). Here, check up if you want: http://shattered-room.net/index.php?topic=990.0. As you can see, there are about 40 groups in my prog pantheon (note: Nevermore - fave group, and several Seattle groups (Seattle is the rock capitol of the world)), and about 200 groups that I enjoy listening to.

Btw, how about writing up listening profiles here on the Neverboard ? - or would that be too old-fashioned structured :heh:

 DeeWee. Yup, the spaghetti incident.

That's cause you're color blind, and you'v seen too much yellow sand in Iraq :tickled:

Nicky.

Hey guys have you heard of this band called Rush!? They're a lot like Nevermore because they're progressive!

Nicky, just go back to the forum you came from. Stop trying to change this place. If you don't like it, it's your problem and we (or at least I) don't give a shit. Either get with the program or be gone. Or keep coming back and getting these same kinds of responses.
