Releases for 2005

Porcupine Tree
Opeth
Negura Bunget
Ulver
The Mars Volta
Dälek
Moonsorrow
Archer Prewitt
Queens of the Stone Age
Manes
Ephel Duath
Hammers of Misfortune
Dark Tranquility
Wolverine (even though the last one was horrendous)

I've heard several of those albums already, and I must say, 2005 is shaping up to be a killer year for music.

Summoning, definately.

I'm also crossing my fingers for a new Novembre album soon. It's been too long!!! Also, Dark Tranquillity's Character will be great, I know.

Re: the new Dissection–did you guys hear the preview clip? I dug Storm... and Somberlain, but I'm staying far the fuck away from that.

JUDAS PRIEST. JUDAS FUCKEN PRIEST. JUDAS MOTHER FUCKING PRIEST. And Overkill, too.

Also Testament, Sadus, the German Holy Trinity, Slough Feg, Nevermore, Candlemass (if they are doing a new one), Bruce Dickinson (more "Book of Thel" plz kthxbye), and HoM.

Agreed with Ayeka on Helloween. I love Walls, Keeper I and the first four Deris albums, but Rabbit Don't Come Easy fucking SUCKED. So we'll have to see.

Hoping for newies from Deströyer 666 and Virgin Steele. Both those bands are due. Also hear that Dekapitator's putting some new shit together.
Agreed on some of your wishes (Virgin Steele, Judas eff'n Priest, Testament...), disagreed on some other points (Helloween's last album was very good, you need Q-Tips ;) ).

Also, haven't heard any Dissection yet...where's the clips?

Zod and IOfTheStorm - I'm not a really huge QR fan; I like a few tunes; Mindcrime was their best work as a whole being a concept album. I personally liked a lot of the tunes on Tribe; very catchy; still not as good as it could have been with Chris helping with writing, arranging, etc... Anyway.. back to this thread...

I'm waiting for the newly re-formed OBITUARY!!! Hopefully they can put out a disc that is fresh but still Obituary... New Testament would also be nice to see this year.
