Isn't that a kind of broad generalization? I mean, I raised in the church and although I don't believe all the heaven/jesus bullshit, the people there are very open, and we hang out and do all sorts of cool stuff.
You guys seem to under the impression that all religions are a bunch of 80 year old men trying to change your views and get your money.
Also, I mean this obviously sounds lame, but you can't deny all the community service and mission trip type stuff helps.

It's good when they help people, but they usually convert people in the process, which is bad in my opinion. And I know a lot of religious people can be cool, but a lot can be extremely annoying and preachy. A lot of my friends are Christians and closet Atheists.

i think it's gross, but i'm not morally opposed to it. animals don't seem to have as many hang-ups about sex as humans do, so i would never equate it to rape. i suppose it depends on exactly what species we're talking about.
