Rob Flynn ESP- SP-120??? likely to come out?

it won't come out in the states, considering it's a pretty close copy of a Gibby.

Supposedly he's had a custom Gibson made, but there has been speculation as to the authenticity of the photos.

Also, his main black EP V was sent to Japan for an extended period of time. SOme have speculated it's so he can get another custom made like it, or sig stuff...But that was well over a year ago.

He's had that guitar for a LONG time at this point.

Yeah, he's had this axe forever. I've always wondered why ESP hasn't put out a Flynn Sig yet. Signatures are such a big and VERY important part of their line-up and even though they have already an insane amount of artist models out there, Flynn would surely be a priority to them and sell rather well.

Maybe Rob had been asked at some point... but simply declined?

Rob hardly plays that guitar any more..he is using Gibson v's now.. he received offers from everyone but pretty much only wanted an authentic Gibson V..Gibson made him a baritone v.. It's doubtful he'll ever get a sig out of gibson but you have to respect him for playing what he wants..

Plus Esp wasnt offering him a deal when he really needed it a few years ago

nope - he played it at with full force, germany over the summer, i met him and i was right up front, seen the axe, its a beauty! pity, i'd love to get my hands on a sig model of dat

I don't think it was a custom (unless you are talking about the live RR Allstars, I havn't seen it), I think it was a regular ESP-LTD F series.

Seems he splits his time between the v's and his red acrylic Warlock...

oh i thought it was a custom baritone but i'm probably mistaken

I'm pretty sure it's this:

could be an older model but it was non flame and arrow inlays with a stoptail and it looked like a longer scale making me think it was a custom

Regarding the guitar from the RR United sessions, that F model you guys are talking about was a bolt-on neck black model with the mandatory EMG pickups. I remember seeing Robb and Jordan from Still Remains play the same guitar (the latter had a Gibson '62 SG on his interview snippet if I remember correctly).

Regarding his fabulous ESP custom V, I sadly think that it's not coming out ever, but you could order it through the Custom Shop, even though it might be over-the-top expensive, being after all a custom model. I personally think that it would be more likely for Robb not to have a signature guitar as he is playing the modified Gibson Flying V and the B.C. Rich acrylic Warlock, but hey. Whatever works for him is good as long as he keeps kicking ass! And who knows, maybe somewhere down the road he might surprise us with a signature guitar, regardless of the brand! =)

The 'custom F' you're all talking about... I think it's just an older discontinued FB-200. I remember reading an interview where he says it's the guitar he uses to record or something of the sort.

On the RR it's an ESP (not an Ltd), no ugly-ass inlays and no flamed top. Not sure of the colour other than the fact it's dark, because he's in the studio under bad lights - I'd guess it's black though, as ESP don't really do dark purples/blues like Jackson. And it's definitely a baritone - he says something along the lines of "I use a baritone because I already have vocals and solos to worry about, so I don't want another string as well".

I seem to remember there were a few baritone F series around a few years ago, though they're like gold dust now (I know, I've been looking for one for ages).

And Greyskull - you think that's ugly, I've got the glittery red one. It looks like it should be played by a 7-year-old girl
