ROLL CALL for Pearl Room show on 9/21

This dude from my work is going actually....
I just discovered about a year ago that this guy is into black metal. (Would never have guessed it, though most here at work just think I am that weirdo who likes Metallica and Iron Maiden!)

Anyhow, his brother his friends with the guys in Disinter, and he has heard of you guys.

I guess this guy's brother also submitted some studio samples to SIGH for possible inclusion on their next album.

The point being, including Ken, there will be THREE fans!

Now, if only the Pearl Room could confirm complete and accurate start time and lineup, that would be great!

Just got back from the show....
Very tired, so I will just post the setlist for now.

THE VOICE OF FAILURE
DARK WORLD BURDEN
DROWN THE INLAND MERE
THE PALE HAUNT DEPARTURE
RAIN

The band sounded great as usual.
I realized I haven't seen them live since Powerfest 2007!

Man, what a goofy ass show LOL

We wound up having a good time, and being in our hometown and everything, we had a more relaxed attitude towards it. I hope people were able to pick up on the fun vibe and not be too turned off. We were just having fun onstage. Who said doom/death metal bands have to be so deadly serious all the time?

Thanks to you guys who came out to the show, sorry I didn't get to spend more time chatting.

SIGH were AMAZING!!!!
I have to be honest, being a Sunday, I was initially planning on leaving after ND.

Unexpect were next, and they were great live.
Very energetic.
Not something I would listen to everyday, but they certainly captured my attention.

I had initially only sampled SIGH on their MY Space and was impressed. The cutover between bands was very short last night, so I figured I would stay a few songs. I could not pull myself away from their performance. They rocked hard! It's weird, some of their vocal melodies reminded me of the Misfits (Esp on the song, "Bring Back The Dead").

I am glad I stayed, as I discovered a new band for me.

Yeah, big disappointment that Zimmers Hole didn't play. I was so looking forward to seeing them. Jed and Gene are great guys and I always enjoy talking with them. From what Jed told me a few weeks ago, they're still working on getting their legal stuff sorted out so that they can do a proper tour here in the near future. So here's hoping.

Sigh and Unexpect were both cool to see, I was busy loading up, talking to people and checking on my wife (the redhead) at the merch booth so I didn't get to watch the whole sets, but it was cool nonetheless. Unexpect and their crew are very cool, it was good to share a stage with them again.

Yeah, it's hard to be serious and evil when your singer's 6-year old daughter is off to the side stealing the show with her little horns, headbanging, and singing along to some of the words :) She was awesome!

Since ND shows are family events now, Jason and I should bring our own kids next time.

:kickass:
My oldest has been asking me all year to go to a concert.
A few weeks ago, when I was leaving the house for Priest, she was crying, and going, "You always go to concerts, I want to go to a concert!!!"

I think ND should offer "VIP FAMILY" packages on the Rotting Christ tour.
There can be a section off to the side with cribs, diapers, formula, etc.

METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's been asking me for months if she could come on stage and sing with me, so during Rain, I decided to call her up there and let her have at it, because she's always growling the word "Rain" in the song, and she got scared, and wouldn't do it.
