Roope better than Laiho?

As known, Roope Latvala is seen as one of the ''grandfathers'' of the finnish metalscene. He was a major influence to Alexi, and of course its great hes now part of the Hate Crew. But isn't he actually a better player than alexi himself?? He's older, more experienced, and some people think hes a better player. What do you guys think?

Technically speaking roope is far superior to laiho.
When he is sober, his parts are far more clean and better played.
That said, I prefer old cob to stone. But it seems obvious that roope is far more experienced.
